Minnesota State EMS Line of Duty Death Memorial Foundation Adopts Updated Bylaws
Bock, Minnesota — The Minnesota State EMS Line of Duty Death Memorial Foundation (MN EMS Memorial) has adopted an updated set of bylaws to support the continued growth and expanding needs of the statewide memorial project.
These updates reflect the Foundation’s rapid progress and the increasing scope of work required as the organization moves beyond its early development stage. The new bylaws provide the structure needed to support future expansion, strengthen internal processes, and ensure the Foundation can continue to grow alongside the project.
The revisions also ensure full compliance with Minnesota nonprofit statutes, federal governance expectations, and IRS requirements for 501(c)(3) organizations. Updates include clearer Board and officer roles, enhanced fiscal oversight, and strengthened administrative and governance policies.
The mission and purpose of the Foundation remain unchanged. The organization continues its work to honor Minnesota’s EMS professionals who have died in the line of duty and to advance the construction of a permanent memorial on the State Capitol grounds.
The updated bylaws are available upon request.
