Prairie Island Indian Community Joins the Mission to Honor Minnesota’s EMS Heroes

The Minnesota State EMS Line of Duty Death Memorial Foundation is proud to recognize the Prairie Island Indian Community for their generous support of our mission to honor fallen EMS professionals.

With deep gratitude, we welcome Prairie Island as a valued partner in our efforts to construct a permanent memorial on the Minnesota State Capitol grounds. Their contribution strengthens a growing coalition of individuals, communities, and organizations across the state committed to ensuring that the service and sacrifice of Emergency Medical Services personnel are never forgotten.

This memorial will include the seals of all eleven Tribal Nations in Minnesota, prominently displayed alongside the state seal, as a symbol of unity and shared sacrifice. The support of the Prairie Island Indian Community reaffirms the essential role that Tribal EMS providers play in the health and safety of communities across our state.

We are honored by their trust and partnership in this historic endeavor.
